JUST IN: Toronto Blue Jays top star sends a cryptic message to Philadelphia Phillies encvouraging them to trade for MLB and Los Angeles Angels top star

Pitcher Chris Bassitt of the Toronto Blue Jays currently wants superstar Mike Trout sent to the Philadelphia Phillies by the Los Angeles Angels. Following the Angels’ loss of Shohei Ohtani to free agency, this has happened.

He said the following to Chris Rose, a podcast presenter for Jomboy Media and a former MLB Network broadcaster:

Blue Jays' Chris Bassitt credits wife after complete game shutout

“I hope to see him in Philadelphia. I am aware that he kind of grew up there. To me, Trout in Philadelphia would be the pinnacle. From the perspective of the fans, I wouldn’t want to confront him or Harper. However, in my opinion, Trout is among the greatest five players of all time, based on position. I saw him playing for a team that continues to play well into October.

The baseball community and he both deserve that. He deserves to make a deep run in the playoffs for everyone.”

Trout is frequently spotted visiting Philadelphia Eagles games over the offseason, demonstrating his undying love for the city. The Phillies would be among the real favorites in baseball to win the World Series if he did wind up there.

The Phillies might not have been able to afford him, but the Angels have stated they will not trade him. His contract is worth $426.5 million and it expires in 2030.

One of the greatest players in baseball history is Trout. Even at 32 years old, he has already won three MVP awards, nine Silver Slugger trophies, and eleven All-Star selections.
