BREAKING NEWS: Miami hurricanes are the verge of Landing their long term QB top target

With the addition of transfer center Zach Carpenter and the trade of Ohio State’s 4-Star running back Jordan Lyle, Miami made two more significant progress on Monday night.

I talked with Bruce Warner on my Tuesday Locked On Canes Podcast episode about what fans may anticipate between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday’s National Signing Day.

We continue to think Miami is working hard to flip a few more players, such as Wisconsin committed DB Xavier Lucas, Florida committed LB Adarius Hayes, and Florida State committed DT Armondo Blount.

We also talked about Miami’s attempts to catch the largest fish of them all: 5-Star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. Despite his long-standing commitment to Ohio State, the top overall talent in the Class of 2024 is still being recruited by both the Florida State Seminoles and the Hurricanes. Have the Hurricanes cause for optimism regarding Smith with only a day to go before he makes his final decision?

Miami does seem to have a backup plan, though, as they continue to court Washington State transfer quarterback Cam Ward. Tuesday morning, rumors circulated that KJ Jefferson, an Arkansas transfer quarterback, has received approaches from Miami, TCU, and UCF. Jefferson brings up divisive responses from Hurricanes supporters, but I discussed why I like him better than others in the episode.
