JUST IN: Yankees super top talented player in talks to join team broadcasts come 2024

Bernie Williams, a four-time World Series champion and musician, may get another chance to flex his vocal chords, this time as an analyst for the New York Yankees. According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, the franchise legend is in talks with YES Network about possibly joining the pregame and postgame crew for the 2024 campaign.

If Williams adapts quickly to his new role, he could eventually find himself in the Yankees’ broadcast booth. Despite his lack of a big personality, fans would probably welcome the chance to see the Puerto Rican native in action. After all, he is a visible reminder of the glory days that New York longs to relive.

Williams’ significant role on one of baseball’s most dominant teams, the Yankees, which won four titles in five years (1996, 98, 2000), is often overlooked.Puerto Rican is the dynasty’s face,e Andy Pettitt sets the tone on the mound, and Mariano Rivera is the man who shuts the door. But Williams deserves to be recognized as well.

During this dominant stretch, the five-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove center fielder was arguably the best and most complete position player. Bernie Williams batted over.300 and hit 25 home runs or more in each regular season during which the team won the World Series, while also experiencing his fair share of October magic.

Injuries kept Williams from becoming a full-fledged Yankee legend and Hall of Fame candidate, but he left an indelible mark in the Bronx. If a deal is reached with Yes, he could bring some nostalgia to the airwaves while also becoming a part of new memories.
