The top-ranked junior college safety, Laquan Robinson, officially signed with Auburn on Wednesday, according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Robinson attended Holmes Community College in Goodman, Mississippi, but was born in Greenville, Alabama.
Robinson had 46 total tackles and one interception in nine games this season.
He chose Auburn over several other SEC schools, including Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Arkansas. He is one of three incoming safeties, the other two of whom are three-star high school recruits Kensley Faustin and Kaleb Harris.
The case of Laquan Robinson
Hugh Freeze and Auburn secure the commitment of No. 1 JUCO safety Laquan Robinson.
Robinson could play a significant role for Auburn right away, as the secondary has been greatly depleted by graduation and NFL draft prospects. Jaylin Simpson and Zilin Puckett, Auburn’s starting safeties in 2023, both announced plans to enter the NFL Draft following the Music City Bowl on December 30.
He initially committed on November 10 after visiting Auburn’s game against Ole Miss on Oct. 21.
