After Matt Eberflus’ Chicago Bears (-4), I knew this set of questions would yield a different set of outcomes.
Last Sunday in Cleveland, they blew a third double-digit lead.
Following Chicago’s victory over the Lions, we asked our followers if they thought the Bears will bring ‘Flus back, and if you wanted him to come back as well. With Eberflus finally guiding his team to consecutive victories, and the team in the midst of their best stretch of his employment, 80% of us expected the Bears’ brass to run it back with him. But what surprised me the most was that 58% of you wanted him to stay as head coach in 2024.
This week, those figures fell.
After a 20-17 loss to the Browns dropped their record to (5-9) and all but guaranteed the Bears missed the playoffs, only 51% of us think he’ll be retained, with 27% of our Reacts voters still wanting him back.
