JUST IN: CFB world blasts Miami, Mario Cristobal after brutal bowl game loss, fans fired appeal

After a somewhat disappointing season (7–5), the Miami Hurricanes were scheduled to play the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the Pinstripe Bowl. Their year came to an unfortunate conclusion when they lost the game, drawing harsh criticism on social media from both head coach Mario Cristobal and the program as a whole.

In order to win 31–24, Rutgers ran for 208 yards on the ground, dominating the line of scrimmage the entire time.

Under Cristobal, Miami has now had two seasons in a row where the club has fallen short of expectations. And it appears that the collegiate football community has had enough of a once-great program like Miami.

Cardale Jones, a former quarterback for Ohio State, expressed his opinions about one ACC school on social media on Thursday.

“Man, I’m sad for the recruits who are heading to Miami University for NIL. Bad staff, no continuity within program and one of the worst collegiate home game atmospheres. The solution isn’t always to chase the money. However, best of luck.

After this most recent defeat, Jim Leavitt, who had served as Cristobal’s defensive coordinator at Oregon, also took aim at Cristobal and his squad.

Other supporters also voiced their opinions, joining Jones and Leavitt in criticizing Miami.
