After the play, Flacco to the sideline, and Watson, despite his damaged shoulder, gave him a big chest bump. Additionally, Watson was frequently observed conversing with Flacco on the sidelines following good touchdown drives.

One admirer wrote, “QB LOVE!!!!!” in response to the video.

However, not everything in the comment area was positive. Due to his $230 million deal and generally unimpressive statistical performance on the field, Watson has come under heavy criticism amidst Flacco’s success.

Another fan said, “Franchise QB and some guy we signed for $230 million,” and it received more than 100 likes.

Flacco completed the first half with 3 touchdowns and 296 yards on 16 of his 22 completions. And without Amari Cooper, he succeeded. Following a game that established a record, the top wide receiver for the Browns was ruled out due to a heel injury.

Elijah Moore, a receiver, was also lost by the Browns during the second quarter. He suffered a head injury and fell. Before getting hurt, Moore had five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown against his old team.

Heat Was Cast Upon Deshaun Watson for Not Being on the Browns’ Sideline

Watson has previously undergone shoulder surgery and rehabilitation in Los Angeles. Watson did, however, return to Cleveland recently and stayed for the prime-time game. Watson’s last game was against the Rams in Los Angeles. For that game, Watson took a seat in a box and endured some heat.

Senior NFL writer Kalyn Kahler of The Athletic commented, “I will agree that it looks weird,” on December 7 during an appearance on “Overtime” with Jonathan Peterlin. It’s not what you want, from an optics standpoint, for a player whose leadership has been called into doubt for very good reasons. He has to be on the sidelines, I would have told him if I were his agent. However, we’re not sure what the coaching staff required of him. Furthermore, Joe Flacco is most likely the kind of quarterback who believes he can succeed. However, we are unaware of Joe’s or the coaching staff’s desires.

Watson intended to be on the Browns’ sideline, but it was decided that it would be too dangerous so soon after surgery, as was later made public.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson Creates Buzz With Move After Joe Flacco TD

Watson will be the starting quarterback in the upcoming season, even if Flacco pulls off a Nick Foles-like comeback with the Browns and wins a Super Bowl. There’s no getting out of his $230 million fully guaranteed contract with the Browns.

In Cleveland, Flacco would always be a legend. However, Watson is considered by the Browns to be their quarterback of the future.

On Sunday, December 24, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com said, “Flacco, who’s loved being back in the game, will certainly want to be somewhere next season where he has a chance to play, and this might not be the right spot.” “He won’t be able to see the field here unless Deshaun Watson is injured. There may be more chances for him to build a bridge or to face off against someone for a job. However, the Browns adore him, and he loves it here.

Next season, Watson will be prepared for training camp.
