ESPN LATEST UPDATE: NFL and Brown Insider reveals Cleveland Brown KEY star is urged to Retire After Latest Injury

Elijah Moore of the Cleveland Browns has been persuaded to retire after suffering a frightening concussion against the New York Jets.

Moore was placed in concussion protocol after slamming his head into the turf against the Jets in the second quarter. Moore seemed to convulse many times on the ground before being able to get up and depart the field with the Browns training crew.

Moore should retire from football, according to Dr. Bennet Omalu, the inspiration for the film “Concussion.”
“That is my recommendation,” Omalu said, according to TMZ Sports. “He’d had a seizure.” A seizure is a symptom of brain damage or injury. That is irreversible damage.”

Moore should be out for at least three months, according to Omalu, if he wants to play football again.

“Given what I saw in that video, he should be benched for [the] rest of the season,” he stated.

The Browns said Elijah Moore is doing better after suffering a concussion against the Jets.

Elijah Moore is doing ‘better’ according to the Browns.
Moore spent the night in the hospital following the game against the Jets. He has subsequently been freed and is recuperating at home.

“I don’t have much else to say other than he’s doing better and is back home.” On Friday, December 29, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed, “I’ve been texting with him.” “As we all know, those are usually terrifying. But here’s what I’ll say about him.”

Moore had one of his better outings of the season despite playing only one half against the Jets. He has five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. In Cleveland, he’s having a career year, with 640 yards and 59 catches, both of which are career highs.
“I’m quite proud of him. “He was getting started,” Stefanski explained. “I thought his route for the touchdown was outstanding.” He’s done an excellent job for us. And with Amari (Cooper) out, I moved him over there and didn’t miss a beat. I mean, the breakup play he made was virtually an interception, break it up, catch it. He was fantastic.”

Cleveland Browns No. 1 receiver Amari Cooper is still dealing with a heel injury.

The Browns are unsure whether Amari Cooper will be ready for Week 18.
For the majority of the game against the Jets, the Browns were without Moore and Cooper. Cooper was a pregame scratch after suffering a heel injury and trying it out before the game.

He had just finished a record-breaking performance against the Houston Texans. Cooper had 265 yards on 11 catches and two scores. According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, he suffered the heel injury on the first play of the game against the Texans.

Cooper’s availability for the Browns’ season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals on January 7 is unknown.

“In Amari’s case, he couldn’t go and tried everything he could,” Stefanski explained. “But I do think rest will be a big deal this weekend and then we’ll see how he’s doing next week.”

Cooper’s availability may be rendered moot, at least for Week 18. If the Browns do not win the AFC North and the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, they may rest their starters for the last week of the season.

If the Baltimore Ravens defeat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Browns will be eliminated from contention and presumably relegated to the No. 5 seed.
