Deshaun Watson is returning to the Los Angeles Rams after spending time with the Cleveland Browns during their postseason run.
According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Watson is returning to Los Angeles to finish his shoulder rehabilitation. He underwent surgery on November 21 after suffering a season-ending injury against the Baltimore Ravens.
Watson returned to the Browns’ sideline for the first time since his injury on Thursday, December 28. He was in Cleveland for a charity event he was hosting around the holidays.
“Watson was cleared to play because he was more than a month out from surgery.” Cabot wrote, “He was there with Chubb, Grant Delpit, and other injured Browns.” “He’s headed back to L.A. to continue rehabbing with his surgeon’s medical team, but will likely rejoin the team for the playoffs.”
Watson was shown on the broadcast multiple times cheering on his teammates as they secured a playoff position. This includes a massive chest bump with Joe Flacco following his highlight-reel 50-yard touchdown pass to Jerome Ford.
“I’m always excited to be around my brothers and teammates and see those guys work, and I’m going to be right there with ’em and supporting ’em and just keep pushing forward,” Watson said on December 23 to News 5 Cleveland. “It’s always difficult to be away from your teammates and the game of football.” You put in so much effort to be a part of it. At the same time, injuries occur, and you must be prepared to deal with the consequences. But I’m there for them, and they need to keep going because they’re on fire right now.”

Watson has been very silent since his injury, but he just issued a brief word about Flacco, who has performed admirably as his substitute.
“He’s been great,” Watson said Tuesday, December 26 to Cleveland.com. “He’s a veteran.”
During his brief tenure with the Browns, Flacco has become a fan favorite. He’s 4-1 as a starter and has passed for more than 300 yards in four straight games. No other Browns quarterback has accomplished this accomplishment. Flacco’s most recent accomplishment was assisting the Browns in securing a playoff place for only the third time since 1999.
Flacco’s outstanding play has fueled speculation regarding Watson’s future in Cleveland. However, the Browns have made Watson their franchise quarterback for the foreseeable future. When he arrived in Cleveland via trade in 2022, he received a $230 million contract.
Watson is anticipated to be ready to go when training camp opens next season.

Driskel was signed to the active roster by the Browns from the Arizona Cardinals practice squad. He’ll most likely play in the Browns’ season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The team removed defensive end Sam Kamara to make room on the roster.
Driskel could see action against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Browns’ season finale. If the Browns don’t have a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed, they may rest several of their starters. Given the Browns’ poor injury luck this season, that may be prudent.
If the Baltimore Ravens defeat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Browns will be eliminated from contention for the No. 1 spot and the AFC North title.
