Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears are a lot better team than they were at the start of the season as they prepare for their Week 18 showdown against the Green Bay Packers. They won 37-17 against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, with the quarterback throwing for 268 yards and a score and leading the club with a razor-sharp performance.
As his third season with the Bears comes to a close, Fields has been the focus of much speculation. Because the Bears have been a losing club throughout Fields’ tenure, many expect them to part ways with him and utilize the No. 1 choice in the 2024 NFL Draft to select a new quarterback. Fans at Soldier Field, on the other hand, showed their admiration for Fields after the game, serenading him with a “We want Fields” cry.
At the time, the quarterback was interviewed on the CBS postgame show, and he told interviewer Amanda Balionis that he would remember the moment of fan support for the rest of his life.
With the victory over the Falcons, the Bears improved to 7-9. After going 0-4 to begin the season, Chicago has won 7 of its next 12 games.
Justin Fields completed 20 of 32 throws, including a stunning 7-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver D.J. Moore in the first quarter. Fields has been chastised for his lack of accuracy throughout his career, but not against the Falcons.
