Browns' Elijah Moore speaks out for the first time after scary head injury

“I’d like to thank everyone for their love and support, as well as everyone who has prayed for me since Thursday night. Thank you to the Cleveland Browns doctors and the University Hospital personnel for taking such good care of me. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be feeling much better, and I am forward to return to work with my brothers as we embark on this playoff run for the city of Cleveland! Above all, PRAISE BE TO THE MOST HIGH FOR HIS COVERING AND PROTECTION, as well as all else in between. All of this serves as a reminder of how fortunate we are to be doing what we love, let alone getting up every day. You never know when it will be taken away. “Love, love, love, and blessings.”

Elijah Moore was injured during the Jets-Browns game in Week 17.
Moore made an impression on the field before leaving the Jets game in the second quarter, recording 61 yards and a touchdown on five catches and six targets. With Amari Cooper declared out minutes before the game, the Browns expected Moore to play a larger role against the Jets.

Fortunately for the Browns, despite losing Moore the rest of the way, they still managed to win 37-20. They’ll now be hoping Moore can recuperate fully and clear the concussion protocol in time for the playoffs. But, first and foremost, the Browns will play the Cincinnati Bengals in their regular-season finale on the road this Sunday.

Moore has 640 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 59 catches and 104 targets this season, ranking third among Browns players. He landed in Cleveland last March after the Jets dealt him and a 2023 third-round pick to the Browns in exchange for a 2023 NFL Draft second-round pick.
