BREAKING NEWS: Former Alabama player has an idea on who should be the next tide’s next WRS coach

The only receiver Wiggins fared well was John Metchie, a former four-star in Alabama’s 2019 class.

Wiggins has struggled the past two seasons to get his position group to gain space from defensive backs.

His teammates were not consistently exerting pressure on defenses, winning their one-on-one routes, and getting back to the quarterback. Although Alabama loses a recruiter, Wiggins was not the well-regarded coach and educator required for the role.

This is most likely the reason Saban was fine with him moving to Texas A&M. In the wide receiver room, Saban has the chance to improve his team by adding a teacher and developer. Since Williams and Metchie combined for a 1,000-yard reception in 2021, Alabama has not had a receiving star. Lately, the receiver position has not produced much explosiveness.

At that point, the tide needs a change, and we’ll see where Saban ends up taking over.
