BREAKING NEWS: Auburn has had an up-and-down season from 3-point range, but head coach Bruce Pearl is confident in his team’s abilities from beyond the arc.

Although Auburn’s performance from long range this season has been uneventful, head coach Bruce Pearl remains optimistic about his team’s potential to make 3-pointers.

After Auburn defeated Penn, Pearl remarked, “I thought we could shoot it for sure, and the one game we didn’t shoot it well was App State.” However, I am certain that all those guys can shoot the ball, and it’s nice that Johni Broome is seeing the ball go in right now after making three tonight. I’m certainly excited about the offensive improvement he will bring to us. Penn crammed it all in. The shots were open because it was difficult to drive the ball to the hoop and post it inside. Fortunately, they made shots, which played a part.

Auburn’s return to action is scheduled for Saturday, when it travels to Arkansas. Kickoff is scheduled at 1 p.m. CT, and ESPN2 will carry the broadcast.
