Georgianville, Florida (WCJB) This is a major breakthrough for the Gators’ secondary. In 2024, junior defensive back Jason Marshall Jr. will make a comeback for his senior year. Marshall was given the option to remain in Florida for an additional year or to enter the 2024 NFL draft.
In the season finale against Florida State, the three-year starter recorded his first sack as a Gator and now has 78 total stops, including six for loss and two interceptions. He recorded a career-high 10 pass breakups in 2023, and under new defensive backs coach Will Harris, he will play with rising sophomore sensation Jordan Castell.
He joins defensive tackle Cam Jackson and quarterback Graham Mertz as the third Gator to commit to staying in Gainesville for another season.
