ESPN NEWS: Brown Head Coach Kevin Stefanski has name in a surprised new QB First Pro Bowl amid injury crisis

This season, the Cleveland Browns deserve to have their whole roster in the Pro Bowl.

They’ve overcome adversity week after week to get here, regardless of who’s padding up.

Even among this talented group, several players have clearly distinguished themselves.

Tight end David Njoku, who was chosen for the event for the first time, is among them.

When asked about it, offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said he was proud of him because he deserved it after performing so well this season (via Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter).
That is not an understatement.

Njoku is having the best season of his seven-year NBA career.

The Miami graduate has set career highs in receptions (81) and yards (882), as well as touchdowns (6).

He leads the Browns in receptions and receiving touchdowns, and he is fifth all-time among tight ends.

Njoku is the Browns’ first Pro Bowl tight end since Gary Barnidge in 2014.

Njoku has established instant chemistry with Joe Flacco and has proven to be just as dangerous as a pass-catcher as he is as a pass-blocker.

On top of that, he’s established himself as a true leader and role model for this club, even despite playing just a few days after sustaining severe burns to his face.
The Browns, on the other hand, have their sights set on the ultimate prize, so Njoku will be hoping he won’t be able to attend these festivities by the time they arrive.
