BREAKING NEWS: Auburn’s Insider reveal Head Coach Hugh Freeze, has made up his mind on offensive coordinator Philip Montgomery – No going back on his decision

Hugh Freeze, the head coach of Auburn, has fired offensive coordinator Philip Montgomery after only one season together.
After finishing 6-7 and struggling offensively, notably behind former Michigan State quarterback Payton Thorne, Freeze made the announcement on Friday.

“I informed Philip today that he would not be retained as our offensive coordinator,” Freeze said. “Philip is a good man and a good coach.” Such decisions are never easy to make. However, I determined that this is the best course of action for our program going ahead. I appreciate his work over the previous year and wish him the best.”
