Roydell Williams, the running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide, received an offer as a result of Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles’ intense activity on the transfer portal this weekend.
Despite having a strong group of backs, the Seminoles have been aggressively seeking transfers for the position.
It’s interesting to note that FSU is also pursuing defensive back Earl Little Jr. and offensive lineman Terrance Ferguson, two more Tide transfers.

2023 Veteran who teams up with Jase McClellan as the lead backs in Alabama’s deep running back room; caught 11 passes for 58 yards and one touchdown; added two kickoff returns for 51 yards and four special teams tackles; chosen by the Alabama coaching staff as one of the offensive players of the week for his performance against USF and Auburn. Middle Tennessee: Added a tackle on special teams, grabbed one pass for a four-yard gain, and carried the ball seven times for 36 yards, including an 11-yard high gain. Texas Longhorns: He required six runs for a total of 12 yards; he also caught one throw for a five-yard gain. USF: Had a spectacular day versus the Bulls, leading UA’s ground game with 17 rushes for 129 yards and a touchdown; averaged a team-high 7.6 yards per carry, including a 48-yard long dash; added one reception for two yards along with a tackle on punt coverage. Ole Miss: Against the Rebels, he led UA with three receptions for a total of 13 yards and eight rushes for 21 yards. Mississippi State: In Starkville, I gained 44 yards on ten carries. Texas A&M: Made one tackle on special teams, ran six times for nine yards, and had time as a kickoff returner. Arkansas: Ran for 68 yards on seven carries, including a 35-yard-long rush. Tennessee Volunteers: added one reception for no gain and carried the ball six times for a total of 20 yards. LSU: On just six carries, he gained 56 yards and a touchdown; on average, he gained 9.3 yards per carry, including a 16-yard gain on his touchdown run. He also added one reception for no gain. Kentucky Wildcats: Completed the day with 101 all-purpose yards; gained 20 yards from six rushes; added 30 yards and a score from two receptions; and returned two kickoffs for a total of 51 yards, including a 34-yard long return. Chattanooga: On seven rushes, they totaled 52 yards and a touchdown; an 11-yard rush put them in the end zone. Auburn: Ran for 30 yards and a touchdown eight times; gained a critical first down on the Tide’s last drive by completing a toss play around the right side of the line to advance the ball on a fourth-and-short; also had a special team contribution by recording one tackle on punt coverage. Georgia Bulldogs: Made his first career start in the SEC Championship Game; he added one reception for nine yards and led the Tide backfield with 16 touches for 61 yards and a touchdown.

ULM: Against the Warhawks, he ran eight times for a team-high 58 yards and a touchdown. In the SEC opener, the Vanderbilt Commodores accumulated 27 yards through four rushes. Arkansas: On five carries, he accounted for 17 yards. Texas A&M: Against the Aggies, three rushes for 19 yards were recorded. Tennessee: I spent time in Knoxville on special teams. Mississippi State: Added six rushes and seven yards on the ground in addition to catching two catches for ten yards. Become a mainstay in the Crimson Tide’s deep running back rotation; increased in responsibility after Jase McClellan’s injury; sustained a leg injury that ended his season against New Mexico State; before the injury, he amassed 284 yards and a touchdown on 48 carries; he also added five receptions for 57 yards and a score; and won offensive player of the week for his efforts against Southern Miss. Miami Hurricanes: 18 yards of carrying on six occasions during the game. Mercer: In the Tide’s home opener, he totaled 11 yards on four carries. Florida: Spent time in The Swamp on special teams. Southern Miss: Ran for 110 yards, a team-high and career-best, on just 11 runs; added his first touchdown of the season from one yard out; converted four first downs with a long carry of 55 yards. Ole Miss: Against the Rebels, she recorded three carries for fifteen yards. Texas A&M made an impact through the air, hauling in two catches for a total of 28 yards and a touchdown. I added three yards in rushes as well. Mississippi State: With 11 carries for 78 yards, he led the Tide’s rushers. He also averaged 7.1 yards per carry, including a 29-yard touchdown rush, and grabbed one throw for seven yards. Tennessee added one reception for no gain and ran eight times for 29 yards. He developed a reputation as a deep back for the Tide and contributed to special team play. In eight games, he ran 19 times for 71 yards and a touchdown. Missouri Tigers: He played special teams during his first collegiate game, although he did not finish with any numbers. Texas A&M played in the home opener on special teams. Georgia: Served on the Bulldogs’ special teams. Tennessee: In Knoxville, he gained three yards from his two rushes, marking his first career carries and yards. Mississippi State: I did not register any carries when playing against the Bulldogs, but I saw time. Kentucky: During one of his ten carries for thirty yards, he scored his first career touchdown in the end zone. LSU: Against the Tigers, they ran three times for a total of 19 yards, including a lengthy nine-yard rush. Arkansas: In the final game of the regular season, he finished with four carries for 19 yards.
