A seasoned linebacker has joined Louisville’s transfer portal commitments. Transfer to Texas A&M Jurriente Davis committed to the University of Louisville after seeing the program.
Davis has attended five different schools, with only one season of eligibility remaining. He began his college career at Hutchinson Community College for two seasons before signing with Middle Tennessee State in 2021 and moving to Jackson State the following season. He transferred to Texas A&M prior of the 2023 season as a grad transfer, but only played in three games for the Aggies, allowing him to save his redshirt.
Davis had four tackles in Texas A&M’s first game versus New Mexico. The following week, he played without recording any stats against Miami. He finished the season with six tackles, including two against Louisiana-Monroe in week three.
Davis, a Greensboro, N.C. native, was a regular performer at Jackson State before joining the Aggies, amassing 58 tackles, including 7.5 for a loss and a sack. Davis was fourth on the team with 68 tackles, including 5.5 for a loss and three sacks in his one season with Middle Tennessee. With 41 tackles, including seven for a loss, three sacks, and an interception, he led Hutchinson Community College to a national championship and first-team All-American accolades.
Davis is Louisville’s fourth commitment of the day and the Cardinals’ 21st transfer announcement.
