Jackson had hinted at maybe joining the Miami Hurricanes again.
Antione Jackson, a former defensive back for Fort Lauderdale Dillard, will not be rejoining the Miami Hurricanes.
Jackson committed to the UCF Knights after using the NCAA Transfer Portal on December 26.
Jackson, a member of the Class of 2023, had committed to Miami. After requesting to be released from his national letter of intent, the four-star recruit signed with the East Carolina Pirates. He chose to quit after just one season at ECU.
Jackson posted on social media following his portal visit expressing his wish to rejoin the Miami Hurricanes. Miami allegedly never extended an offer to him. The Hurricanes have taken in 27 high school signees and five transfers thus far this cycle, leaving them short on scholarships.
At ECU, Jackson had a strong true freshman campaign, recording 19 total tackles and one touchdown off an interception.
