The Denver Nuggets showed no mercy against the Detroit Pistons. Michael Malone did not want his club to be the one who fell to one of the league’s most historically poor lineups. Nikola Jokic, on the other hand, was well aware that it would not happen in any way, shape, or form. This is why he stepped back and let his colleagues take control of the game against Monty Williams’ side.
Nikola Jokic just didn’t have it against the Pistons. He could have scored at will, but he didn’t. The Serbian basketball king may have pulled his foot totally off the pedal. Especially after just scoring four points against the Pistons. Michael Malone insisted on him putting forth some effort, which resulted in the Nuggets’ superstar dropping 16 dimes. All of this while still grabbing seven rebounds.

“The Jokic stat line tonight is an all-timer,” many Nuggets supporters exclaimed. This Pistons team might be the funniest of all time.”
Some Pistons fans couldn’t help but be sad. This came after they were dismissed as “the league doesn’t even respect the Pistons…Despite Jokic’s three shots, the Nuggets won by 17 points.”
What the Nuggets’ star lacked in scoring, he more than compensated for on defense. He had five blocks on a team that seemed lost without Cade Cunningham. “What do you mean Nikola Jokic had more blocks than points against the Pistons?” wondered one Pistons fan.
“Man Jokic decides when he wants to play,” one fan said of Nikola Jokic’s lack of concern in this clash. He barely tried three shots before deciding that the Pistons were not worth it.”
Regardless of the levity or disrespect for Monty Williams’ group, one concept stands out: “One of the oddest lines I’ve ever seen.” The magnificence of Jokic transcends explanation.”
It was Jamal Murray’s night to devastate an enemy team that went the Nuggets’ way. Their MVP happens to be willing and understanding of team dynamics, which is likely why his stat line ended out that way.
