Although the Green Bay Packers’ postseason berth was all but certain, they still needed to defeat the Chicago Bears to ensure that nothing would stand in their way.
Paradoxically, Matt LaFleur’s crew was really happy to hear that.
Even though the Packers and Bears have one of the fiercest rivalries in the NFL and all of sports, it doesn’t feel like a rivalry anymore because the Packers have been dominating the Bears for a while.
Because of this, Packers OLB Preston Smith, who began his career 12-0 against the Bears, used Twitter to mock his longtime enemies following the victory, saying that he simply couldn’t lose to them.
“We just don’t let the Bears win…I’m up 12-0,” Smith declared.
We just managed to defeat the Bears. I am 12-0 🤷🏽♂️

With a ten-game winning streak against the Bears, Aaron Rodgers has elevated the rivalry between the two teams by making them feel as though he owns them.
The Bears were never a real threat to pull off the shock at Lambeau Field, but Justin Fields’ inability to move the chains cost them the opportunity to upset the Packers and ruin Jordan Love’s debut season.
However, after acquiring two first-round picks, they ought to improve significantly next season, so perhaps they can finally end their dominance once and for all.
