Deion Sanders’ return to the Atlanta Falcons as head coach is something that the team’s supporters are pleading for. After a poor 2023 season, head coach Arthur Smith was let go by the Falcons.
After a poor conclusion to his first season in Boulder, Sanders is attempting to assemble a solid recruiting class for the Colorado Buffaloes program in 2024. Following the Buffaloes’ explosive September season, Sanders enjoyed widespread recognition in the NFL. Sanders was favored by Dallas Cowboys supporters to succeed Mike McCarthy.
It is unlikely that Sanders will sign with the Falcons this summer and depart the Buffaloes. He might, however, have a weakness for Atlanta. In the 1989 NFL Draft, Sanders was selected by the Falcons as the fifth overall choice. He completed the 1993 season as a member of the Falcons.
During his tenure with the Falcons, Sanders was named an All-Pro three times and made three trips to the Pro Bowl.
The suggestion that Sanders enter the NFL was spread by Falcons supporters on social media. Some supporters wish for Shedeur Sanders, his son, to move to Atlanta with him. These are the finest responses to Falcons supporters’ pleas for Prime Time to return.
