Following off their Sunday victory against the Los Angeles Clippers, your 18–19 Los Angeles Lakers will want to start a winning run when they play the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. The Lakers will want to overcome a diminished Raptors squad in order to get back to 500. Josh Lewenberg, a team writer for the Raptors, reports that the team will be without Jakob Poeltl, their starting big man.
Due to a sprained ankle he sustained on Sunday during their victory over the Golden State Warriors, Poeltl is out. The big man for the Raptors played a strong game, scoring 14 points on 75% shooting, pulling down 11 rebounds, and dishing out five assists in just 31 minutes.
For the Raptors this season, he is averaging 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. The Lakers and their superstar center, Anthony Davis, stand to greatly benefit from this. Without their big guy, Davis should unleash beast mode on the dinosaurs, and this should be served with BBQ chicken.
