According to a recent story, Janice McNair, the owner of the Houston Texans, is currently engaged in a court dispute with one of her sons regarding ownership of the NFL team her husband founded.The Texans team has seen success within the past year. Following three seasons in a row in which the team finished with double-digit losses, the organization took two decisions that have now positioned them to be a contender in the AFC for the ensuing 10 years.

According to Harris County probate court filings, the CEO of McNair Industries “is seeking to have his mother declared incapacitated and have a guardian appointed,” as was disclosed by Click 2 Houston on Tuesday.
Fearing that the dispute would have a “serious impact on the Texans,” Janice McNair and her son Cal, the Houston Texans’ chairman and CEO, filed a counter-affidavit and requested that the lawsuit be kept secret following the initial filing.
