Bobby Slowik, the offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans, is one of the most desirable names on the head coach rotation. The league has several openings, and Slowik has drawn the attention of a few of those organizations in anticipation of an interview. Speaking with Slowik about potential coaching opportunities, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans provided him with some insider knowledge about the procedure.
“Yes, I would advise Bobby to exercise discretion,” Ryans remarked, as reported by Aaron Wilson at Click2Houston. “You only get one chance to do it, so you want to make sure you’re picky and that, should the chance arise, you’re going somewhere where you think you can be productive.”
Even though Houston’s future appears bright, Slowik might consider leaving to take charge of his own team after receiving a pay and responsibility boost. Prior to joining the San Francisco 49ers, both coaches were among the greatest in the league in their respective roles. Despite only spending one season with the Texans, Solowik might want to consider leaving.
