A.J. Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles are embroiled in a sideline dispute for the second time in three weeks
When Eagles security chief and general manager Dom DiSandro got physical with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw in Week 13, he was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. DiSandro was consequently barred from the sidelines for the balance of the season.
Brown got into a bit of a fight with an unidentified Seahawks crew member during the second half of Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. The talented wide receiver initially targeted Seattle CB Michael Jackson. As you can see below, after being knocked into on the Seahawks sideline, Brown shoved the staff member.
Considering that the ESPN broadcast and people watching the game at home indicated what was happening, it is a little surprise that the NFL did not investigate the situation further.
It should be recalled that Greenlaw and DiSandro were removed from the previously mentioned Week 13 match after visiting the league office in New York for reviews. There was no such review on Monday evening.
A.J. Brown numbers for 2023: 1,258 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 90 receptions
It seems exceedingly doubtful that Brown will hear from the NFL outside of a potential fine after this occurrence. However, it does bring up some concerns about what we’re witnessing this season on the sidelines throughout the league.
To begin with, why is the employee getting involved in this? He has no business being anywhere close to athletes, much less engaging in physical contact with them.
