BREAKING NEWS: Georgia Bulldogs have completed and announced the signing of a defensive coordinator and safeties coach on Saturday morning.

Kirby Smart has added another Nick Saban follower to his staff. Travaris Robinson, Alabama’s defensive backs coach, was named Georgia’s co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach on Saturday morning.

Alabama DB coach Travaris Robinson hired as co-DC at Georgia
Robinson attended Auburn and began his coaching career there before moving on to five different SEC schools, including Auburn, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, and now Georgia.

Robinson had been at Alabama since the 2021 season, and with Kevin Steele leaving, he was considered a candidate for the Crimson Tide’s empty defensive coordinator position. However, with Nick Saban also retiring and Alabama naming Kalen DeBoer as the next head coach, DeBoer will be able to hire his own staff at all positions.
