Rodgers, a three-year varsity standout at Wesley Chapel (Fla.) Wiregrass Ranch, collected 110 receptions for 1,625 yards and 29 touchdowns in 26 varsity games in high school, nearly two hours south of UF.

Defensively, he had two interceptions. The 247Sports composite rankings ranked Rodgers as the No. 49 wide receiver and No. 357 overall talent in the 2023 cycle, making him a consensus four-star. He visited Florida three times as a high school recruit contemplating his university options. Rodgers is the No. 39-ranked wideout and No. 208 overall player to enter the transfer portal this summer, according to 247Sports.

Chimere Dike, Florida, Wide Receiver

Florida already acquired the transfer pledge of Wisconsin wide receiver Chimere Dike in December, after top Gators pass-catcher Ricky Pearsall joined the NFL Draft after his NCAA eligibility expired. The position remains a need for UF, despite the departures of experienced wide outs Caleb Douglas, a former starter, and Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman, a depth piece and special teamer, this summer. Douglas has since enrolled at Texas Tech. In 2024, Florida is expected to return 119 receptions, 1,298 yards, and ten touchdowns from a group of six wide receivers. Eugene Wilson III, a rising sophomore, accounting for more than half of those receptions (61) and scores (six).

The Gators signed two high school wideouts in the class of 2024, Jerrae Hawkins Jr. and Tawaski Abrams, giving the squad nine scholarship receivers heading into the offseason.
