The Toronto Raptors are on the verge of dealing Pascal Siakam, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report.
The Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, and Detroit Pistons are among the teams interested in signing Siakam, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
This season, Siakam has averaged 22.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks while shooting 52.5% from the field, 30.8% from beyond the arc, and 75.4% from the free-throw line. The two-time All-Star earns $37.9 million per year.
The Raptors sent RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to the New York Knicks in exchange for OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, and Malachi Flynn. Toronto’s record is barely 15-23. They are now ranked 12th in the Eastern Conference and are building around Scottie Barnes.
Siakam has averaged 17.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.6 blocks throughout his career. He was named the 2018-19 Most Improved Player of the Year and helped the Raptors capture their first championship in franchise history in 2019 with a six-game victory over the Warriors.
Siakam was selected by the Raptors with the 27th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. He is the sole remaining member of the 2019 championship team.
