The Cleveland Browns are in the postseason, somehow. The Browns didn’t seem to have a shot to get to the postseason at first. However, the team managed to qualify for the playoffs with convincing ease, largely due to a potent defence and the unexpected return quarterback Joe Flacco.
But there’s a chance that a vital component of the Browns’ defence will miss their crucial Wild Card game. The team’s standout cornerback, Denzel Ward, hurt his knee during a drill. Ward’s potential absence from their postseason game raised concerns. According to Mary Kay Cabot, it appears that the great CB will play versus Houston.
Despite hurting his knee during practice on Thursday, Denzel Ward of the Browns is anticipated to play against the Texans on Saturday. Though dubious, he is scheduled to perform.

When you consider that the Browns are playing the Texans, one of the hottest teams in the league, it becomes even more concerning. There are still Nico Collins and a ton of wide receivers to be concerned about even with Tank Dell’s season-long absence. If Houston’s offensive line manages to fend off Myles Garrett and company, CJ Stroud and the team might cause some problems for Cleveland.
The Browns have gotten this far thanks to their defence. And even while that unit still has a lot of bite, if Ward is not fully healthy, they’ll likely need to depend more on their defence to give them that last push.
