The Atlanta Falcons are starting the second week of their coaching search, and reportedly, started said week with a bang. Bill Belichick, the former coach of the New England Patriots, is said to have been sighted on Sunday getting into the Falcons owner Arthur Blank’s yacht, which is known as the dreAMBoat after his initials. Even before he parted ways with the Patriots on Thursday, Belichick was frequently associated with the Falcons; if this rumour is accurate, it will just feed the flames.

As of Sunday, the Falcons are a strong favourite with +150 chances to be Belichick’s next stop, according to Fox Sports. Notable people have also commented on the current Belichick-to-Atlanta rumours. When he said that the Falcons are “coming in hot” on Fox’s pregame show on Sunday, former Patriots player Rob Gronkowski may have dropped the biggest clue. Matt Ryan, a former quarterback for the Falcons, voiced his own thoughts on the subject this past weekend on CBS.
“If they get a veteran guy, I think Bill Belichick makes sense,” Ryan remarked. “I believe that if you’re selecting young, you should choose a younger coach who will stay on the team longer. However, I believe he makes sense in Atlanta if you’re going to select a seasoned player.
The Falcons have a long list of potential coaching possibilities, and although it’s debatable if Belichick would be the greatest match, he would undoubtedly be the most conspicuous addition.
