DONE DEAL: Tennessee transfer defensive end top star has flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to Louisville.

Tennessee defensive end transfer Tyler Baron switched his allegiance from Louisville to Ole Miss.

Baron posted a social media confirmation of the story. Tuesday evening
Baron is ranked No. 3 among edge rushers and No. 14 overall in the 247Sports transfer rankings.

Baron has been a key member of Tennessee’s offensive line for the last four seasons, having just finished his most productive season as a college player. He totaled 28 tackles in 2023, with 10.5 of those being for loss and six sacks. He was also given credit for a touchdown off a fumble recovery.

Baron has totaled 13.5 sacks, 27 tackles for loss, and 101 tackles over his career. Of all the players in the SEC last season, he had the fifth-most QB pressures with 41.

Ashton Gillotte, Louisville, Edge

It’s safe to assume that Louisville will start the upcoming season with two of the most formidable edge rushers in NCAA football thanks to Ashton Gillotte’s comeback. That’s awesome.
