DEAL IN ADVANCE STAGE: Miami Hurricanes are reportedly leading the race to sign 4-star Offensive Tackle after visit from key staffers

Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabal endured a bitter cold snap in the Midwest to see four-star offensive lineman Owen Strebig of Waukesha, WI’s Catholic Memorial, who is one of their top targets.

Thanks to new rules allowing in-person engagement at school with Class of 2025 prospects at this point in the calendar, the two important Hurricanes staff members made a big impression on the enormous 6-foot-8, 295-pounder on Tuesday evening.

2025 4-star OL Owen Strebig talks recruiting journey, communication with Badgers
“I had a terrific time. To begin with, they have communicated quite well. We seem to text each week, in my opinion. I’ve received updates from them. They made it through the gloomy weather to emerge yesterday. There was a slight difference from Miami, I believe, because it was -10 when they arrived. However, I appreciate the new regulations; they allowed them to have a conversation with my parents and my coaches as well. We were able to simply converse about life, basketball, and Miami. On Wednesday night, Strebig told InsideTheU, “It was a good deal.”
