Is it possible that Kirk Cousins and Bill Belichick will team up in Atlanta?
The Falcons are the front-runners to sign the six-time Super Bowl champion head coach after arranging a second interview with the former Patriots coach for this coming weekend.
Josina Anderson of the NFL Insider verified that the Falcons are the front-runners to sign Belichick.
The Vikings quarterback Cousins, a 2024 unrestricted free agent, expressed interest in collaborating with the third-most successful coach in NFL history in a recent interview with CBS Sports writer Isabel Gonzalez.

Belichick will require an experienced quarterback if Atlanta signs him in order to lead the Falcons to the postseason. The Falcons might try to move up in order to choose a quarterback, but there’s no assurance it would succeed, and it would go against Belichick’s philosophy.
Even though Mac Jones was a rookie in 2021 and helped Belichick get to the postseason, the Patriots were not a significant contender to win the Super Bowl. It’s best to keep talking about the previous two seasons to yourself.
