With coach Nick Saban’s departure, Alabama’s talent is still leaving the state; the most recent addition to the transfer portal is a highly-regarded quarterback prospect.
Pete Thamel of ESPN reports that Julian Sayin, a freshman quarterback who is thought to be the best quarterback in the class of 2024, is making his way through the portal. Sayin, a five-star prospect who attracted interest from other schools, including Texas, Ohio State, and LSU, is anticipated to consider his options.
With Saban’s departure, it makes sense that the Crimson Tide will lose a significant number of talented players to other universities. Though Kalen DeBoer and his team might eventually be able to successfully re-recruit some, like Sayin, they won’t be able to retain everyone.
Sayin was a senior at Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, California, where he passed for 2,369 yards, 24 touchdowns, and one interception.
