BREAKING NEWS: Former Alabama DB sends a congratulatory message to freshman defensive back for a great win

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, a former safety for the Alabama football team and current Crimson Tide employee, is impressed with what rookie defensive back Zavier Mincey is saying.

Mincey, a four-star defensive back in 2024, decided to join the Crimson Tide and made his announcement at the All-American Bowl. When Mincey made his announcement, he was questioned about his thoughts about playing ahead of schedule.

“Mincey said, ‘I really just want to develop and just become a better player. But I would definitely love to play early.”

Clinton-Dix responded well to this response.

“I already adore this young man. He’s going to be a fantastic asset to our team. The former Alabama safety wrote, “His character and laid-back manner will make his career special.”

To put themselves in a position to potentially make a Super Bowl appearance, the Lions only needed to select players from the University of Alabama and appoint a former Crimson Tide player as defensive coordinator. Dan Campbell and Detroit are one victory away from playing in the National Football League’s championship game. Former Alabama players Brian Branch and Jahmyr Gibbs led the team to a 31-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Bucs on Sunday in the NFC Divisional Playoff Game at Ford Field. Running back Gibbs scored another touchdown from scrimmage, this time with almost 100 yards. He demonstrated all of his skills as a pass blocker, receiver, and runner.
