However, will Milroe be the front-runner this autumn for the Heisman Trophy? The NFL has extended the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft, and major sports bookies have announced the 2024 Heisman odds. Milroe is at least one of the predicted contenders for the award.

Milroe chose to return for a fourth season in 2024, with a fifth year of eligibility available in 2025, after serving as Alabama’s starting quarterback for one season. At quarterback, he is ahead of a depth chart that also includes redshirt freshman Dylan Lonergan, Austin Mack, and redshirt sophomore Ty Simpson.
