People must move forward from the Boston Celtics’ heyday. Doc Rivers isn’t the same person here.
The renowned Doc Rivers is the next head coach the Milwaukee Bucks are apparently considering, and it will make a big splash: the team sacked head coach Adrian Griffin just hours ago.
Having worked as a coach with the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Orlando Magic, Rivers has 24 years of NBA coaching experience. He’s 111-104 in the postseason and has amassed a massive 1,097 wins in his career, ranking No. 9 all-time in NBA history.
When Rivers was the Boston Celtics’ head coach in 2008, the team won an NBA title.
There are hints of the Philadelphia 76ers in this.
Similar to Philly, Doc will have the Bucks dominate the regular season and have them as the top seed in the Eastern Conference. However, when the playoffs roll around, they’ll win the first round (in a sloppy manner) before losing in the semifinals. I observe the same thing occurring.
And, really, do you think Giannis’s and Doc’s egos are getting along well?
