As the 2024 cycle draws to an end, the focus of recruitment shifts to the class of 2025 talent. More than 75 percent of the ESPN Junior 300 is still up for grabs, and the top classes are subject to swift changes. Not only has Nick Saban’s retirement affected Alabama’s current roster, but the Tide’s 2025 class has also been impacted. Once ranked No. 2, the Crimson Tide has dropped out of the top 10 due to many decommitments. On the other hand, SEC foe LSU has improved to the top of the 2025 class in the new year with some notable recruits.
4. Bulldogs of Georgia
Top defensive prospect: DT Terry Justus (No. 7)
The Bulldogs are in the lead in the early going of 2025 and are poised to win the top class for the cycle in 2024. Tight ends were important to them in their most recent championship runs. They are reloading at the location right now. They have two highly regarded in-state tight ends committed: Williams, who is 6-foot-7 and has good hands, and Ethan Barbour, who moves effectively. Williams may grow into a star similar to former Bulldogs tight end Darnell Washington. Bo Walker can provide them with another excellent running back; he is a versatile weapon with terrific vision.
Terry, a five-star defensive lineman, is another significant commitment Georgia has obtained for the defensive line. He is a tough interior player with great arm length, strength, and lateral mobility. Jadon Perlotte is a versatile edge defender who can play in space and rush the passer.
