One of the best defensive minds in NFL history is searching for work, and the Green Bay Packers are on the market for a defensive coordinator.
After twenty-four years and six Super Bowl victories with the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick is taking a look at other options. He had two interviews with the Atlanta Falcons for the head coaching post that was up for grabs. On Thursday, January 25, the Falcons did, however, announce the signing of Raheem Morris, the former defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams.
With just two spots left unfilled, the Falcons were the renowned coach’s most likely landing place. However, there’s a chance the NFL as a whole will surpass Belichick in this cycle. If that does, in fact, prove the case, Green Bay radio host Kyle Malzhan of WFRV Local 5 suggested that Packers head coach Matt LaFleur run against Belichick for the team’s available DC spot.
