SHOCKING NEWS: Bill Belichick Now Unlikely to Become NFL Head Coach in 2024 Cycle

It is hard to believe that Belichick would take a lower position after leading the Patriots as their general manager and head coach for so long and with such remarkable success. But it could be required if he wants to stay in the game, at least for a season or two.

Regarding the NFL’s 2024 head coaching cycle, Adam Schefter of ESPN provided an update on the situation on Thursday.
The Seahawks and the Commanders are the final two teams in this cycle with head coach vacancies. According to league sources, neither team is anticipated to make any hirings until the next week, following Sunday’s conference final games,” Schefter wrote on X. “Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll, Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, Anthony Weaver, Mike Macdonald, Ejiro Evero, Dan Quinn, and Bobby Slowik are the coaches who can fill the final two spots.”

According to Pro Football Talk, as of Thursday, neither team had interviewed Belichick. As a result, it seems doubtful that he will be leading a team at the spring training camp.

An NFL star with Belichick’s reputation and track record would undoubtedly be welcomed by a number of media businesses, and he probably would have first dibs on available jobs. But Belichick might find a position in Washington, DC, if he isn’t interested in working in the media.
