Offensive lineman Gradey Anthony of North Oldham High School committed to the University of Louisville just a few days after visiting the campus for Junior Day.
Although the 6-foot-5, 266-pound Anthony has visited campus on multiple occasions before, he spent Tuesday’s Junior Day with U of L head coach Jeff Brohm and his staff. He had been to his school earlier that day for a session with offensive coordinator Brian Brohm and offensive line coach Richard Owens of the University of Louisiana.
Anthony announced his committment on social media on Friday night.
Despite projecting as an offensive lineman in college, Anthony played this past fall for a 7-5 North Oldham team on both sides of the ball. Anthony wasn’t here for the first time, and he has a 79-inch wing span. He added that last fall, he went to a number of U of L games.
During his junior year, Anthony led an offensive line that enabled the Mustangs offence rush for 890 yards and pass for 2,565 yards. Anthony recorded 33 tackles, five tackles for a loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery while playing defensive tackle.
In the Class of 2025, he joins quarterback Mason Mims of Oxford, Alabama, as the second commitment.
