Kaleb Lanier, a defensive back from Decatur, Georgia, was one of a few dozen recruits that visited Louisville on Saturday for Junior Day. After an outstanding visit, the 6-foot, 160-pound recruit in the 2025 class received a scholarship offer.
“My time at Louisville was excellent,” Lanier remarked to Cardinal Authority. “The visit proceeded flawlessly. I gained a lot of software knowledge. Undoubtedly, this program is making remarkable progress. Large victories with a 10-win season occurred last year. played for an ACC championship, so I’m forward to watching how they develop more this coming season.”
Impressions in the first year of the Jeff Brohm era extend beyond the on-field performance. Additionally, he observed the present Cardinals’ work ethic.
Lanier went on, “The culture is really great as well.” All of the players are committed to honing their skills. Even though it was a non-playing day, every player turned up to complete additional work.”
Lanier recorded 25 tackles, a TFL, and two interceptions in his junior year. On the offensive end, he added 16 receptions for 245 yards and a touchdown. He is a multi-sport athlete at Decatur High School, participating in track and basketball.
Lanier also paid visits to Steve Ellis, the cornerbacks coach, and Brohm.
“Coach Brohm told me he watched my film and said I was a good player,” Lanier stated. “I learned about the strategy, their DB technique, and how to blend in with their playing style from Coach Ellis. Coach Ellis added that he will visit me this week while he is in Georgia.”
