With six national titles, the Tide coach created a golden age for Crimson Tide supporters for 17 seasons. However, he also painted a big target on the back of one of the most storied programs in sports history.
This meant that, a year before kickoff, Bama would frequently receive their opponents’ best shot after marking the match on their own calendars. The majority of the time, the Tide rolled despite taking their best shot. We have witnessed our fair share of upsets in and out of Tuscaloosa, though.In every season’s match, Nick Saban was Alabama’s coach, win or lose.
