BREAKING NEWS: Alabama is Targeting Multiple In-State 2025 Recruits Under Kalen DeBoer

Under Kalen DeBoer and the new Alabama coaching staff, the team is looking for several in-state 2025 prospects.

The Crimson Tide will continue to analyze numerous others who may receive offers from them in the future. Here’s a look at some of the state’s rising and established stars, who could be the next Alabama recruit.
ERIC WINTERS, ATHLETE, ENTERPRISE

Eric Winters, Enterprise, Linebacker
Winters is easily one of the most promising high school football prospects in the country. It’s surprising that Alabama hasn’t offered the high prospect from Enterprise High School yet, given his position versatility. The junior, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 200 pounds, has the potential to play defensively at all three levels. Simply put, he’s a football player. The type of player you can line up and simply watch produce. The Wildcats allow him to demonstrate his full arsenal as a wildcat quarterback on offence and a hybrid defender. He takes defensive snaps at safety, off-the-ball linebacker, and has played off the edge. Georgia and Auburn are just a handful of the colleges who are actively courting Winters.
DAYLYN UPSHAW – WIDE RECEIVER, CENTRAL PHENIX CITY

Upshaw had a career season for the Red Devils while playing opposite Cam Coleman, finishing his junior year with 1,185 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. At 6-foot-175 pounds, Upshaw shows enormous promise as a wide receiver. He explodes out of his release at the line of scrimmage, adjusts to the football in the air, and catches it at its highest position with a great vertical. The junior is also a strong runner after the catch. This weekend, Alabama will host him.
CARDE SMITH, OFFENSIVE LINEMAN – WILLIAMSON

Carde Smith, Williamson, Offensive Tackle

Smith is one of the state’s finest offensive linemen, having received offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and others. The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder will be able to play numerous places on the offensive line in the future. He is a persistent and aggressive run blocker who will not quit until the whistle blows. He is still developing as a pass protector, but he demonstrates the agility and athleticism that a big man needs to develop in that position.
Clarence Taylor – Wide Receiver – Pleasant Grove

Clarence Taylor, Pleasant Grove , Wide Receiver

Taylor’s offer list does not yet mirror that of some of the others on this list, but this is likely to change very soon. The 6-foot-1 dynamic athlete finished his junior season with 70 receptions, 1,621 yards, and 25 touchdowns. He is one of the best route runners in the 2025 wide receiver recruiting class, able to create separation off the line of scrimmage and at the top of routes. The Pleasant Grove product is also extremely shifty following the capture.

MALIK AUTRY, DEFENSIVE LINEMAN – OPELIKA

Rising 2025 DE Malik Autry talks summer visits
Autry is one of the state’s top defensive line prospects, and he has committed to Auburn. The 6-foot-6, 283-pounder is a behemoth in the trenches, with the potential to disrupt seconds after the snap. He is particularly impressive in space, as he will follow down plays from behind in search of the football. Alabama has previously expressed interest in him, and it would not surprise anyone if he receives an offer from the Crimson Tide in the near future.

DYLLON WILLIAMS – DEFENSIVE BACK, DEMOPOLIS

Four-star LB Dylan Williams breaks down Big Ten visit - Rivals.com
Williams has received his first Power 5 offers from Kentucky and UCF, and he will no longer be considered a hidden treasure in the coming weeks. Williams, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 180 pounds, seeks out the football with exceptional closing speed when working downfield from the secondary to assist with run support. He attacks plays from all over the field and is particularly adept at making open-field tackles. He also demonstrates the ability to go step-for-step with wide receivers.
