Linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng, a four-star prospect from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, has already visited the University of Florida multiple times during his recruitment process. He was able to make another journey to Gainesville this past Friday with a few of his IMG colleagues. It was his first time returning to The Swamp following a coaching change at his position. While he still knows a few people in the building, his most recent visit gave him the chance to meet Ron Roberts, the new linebackers coach, in person.
“Just going back and meeting Coach [Cannon] Gibbs again, and also Brandon Spikes,” added Owusu-Boateng. I got to see the new linebackers coach and have another conversation with them. Reconnecting with those people and learning about Coach Roberts’ perception of me in the scheme of things was fantastic for me. Everything about it was positive.
During the first meeting, Owusu-Boateng had the opportunity to get to know Coach Roberts better and hear about some of his coaching background.
