After choosing to go with Jimmy Garoppolo last offseason, the Las Vegas Raiders may decide to go with a younger quarterback when they enter the market in 2024. Although there are several talented quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft class, one player stands out as the most likely choice Heisman Trophy winner and LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels began his collegiate career at Arizona State, where he was recruited by head coach Antonio Pierce and played cornerback Jack Jones. In an X post from January 21, Jones wrote, “J5 to da NATION.” Since Daniels wears number five, “J5” is most likely a reference to him. This X post suggests that Jones is considering Daniels for the Raiders. Pierce is in favor of the notion. He enjoyed a post from X on Daniels maybe joining the Raiders. How to Sign Jayden Daniels for the Las Vegas Raiders The top three selections in the 2024 NFL Draft are owned by the Chicago Bears, Commanders, and New England Patriots. Every one of them has a quarterback in the draft pool. It might be expensive if the Raiders want to trade up to acquire a quarterback. This offseason, there have been significant coaching and front office changes for both the Patriots and the Commanders. It’s possible that a new general manager would be willing to trade back and add a ton of picks. It might be worth the cost to trade up for the Raiders as they could be just one QB away from being legitimate playoff contenders. The organization will need to be prepared to part with future picks if they hope to acquire Jayden Daniels or another elite QB prospect. If not, they may remain at No. 13 and target Michael Penix of Washington or Bo Nix of Oregon. Although those quarterbacks don’t have the same enormous potential as Daniels, they would still be an improvement over Aidan O’Connell.
