Jeff Brohm, the football coach of the University of Louisville, was back in the Sunshine State on Wednesday for the second day in a row.
Brohm travelled to at least five colleges while recruiting in South Florida for the day with a number of assistant coaches. Brohm visited a few schools in the Orlando and Tampa areas on Tuesday with a number of assistant coaches to assess prospects.
For Brohm, the day began in the Punta Gorda region. Along with linebackers coach Mark Ivey, he paid a visit to Myron Charles, a four-star defensive lineman at Port Charlotte High School. The 295-pound, 6-foot-4 Charles is the target of over two dozen offers.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Charles is the No. 18 defensive lineman and the 148th overall prospect in the country. When the Cardinals defeated the Hurricanes in November, Charles was on a visit to Miami. The remaining universities in the running are Ohio State, Florida State, USC, UCLA, Florida, Oregon, Georgia, and Alabama.
After that, Brohm made the quick drive to the West Palm Beach region, where he stopped at several schools where Garrick McGee was the wide receivers coach.
To check in with safety Max Redmon at Cardinal Newman High School was the first stop. Over 20 offers have been made to the 6-foot, 195-pound Redmon, including ones from the University of Louisiana, Penn State, Charlotte, Florida State, Iowa, James Madison, Kentucky, UMass, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, UCF, USF, West Virginia, and Western Michigan. In his junior season, Redmon recorded 64 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
Waden Charles, a wide receiver committed to Miami, was among the prospects checked in by the staff at Palm Beach Central, the next destination. The six-foot-2, 185-pound four-star prospect said he would be visiting the University of Louisiana this spring and that he speaks with Lousiville’s staff “just about every day” in an interview with 247Sports earlier this week. The 247Sports Composite Rankings place Charles as the No. 11 athlete in the ’25 class and the No. 269 prospect overall.
Kamare Williams, a wide receiver at Palm Beach Central, has received over 20 scholarship offers. After hauling in 35 catches for 916 yards (26.2 yards per catch) and 11 touchdowns as a sophomore at Delray Beach Atlantic, he had 49 catches for 695 yards and six scores as a junior. He participated in the Boynton Beach High School freshman season.
Preston Parker Jr., the son of former Florida State and NFL wide receiver Preston Parker Sr., was another wide receiver at Palm Beach whom the coaches spoke with. Nedrick Boldin, a wide receiver from Palm Beach Central, is another outstanding player, with 53 receptions for 750 yards and 12 touchdowns. Tony Williams, a four-star safety, was also at U of L.
After that, Brohm went to Santaluces High School in Lake Worth, Florida, to check on two potential candidates.
Both athlete Caden Gordon and wide receiver Jamar Browder are unranked prospects right now, but they have received ten or more offers. In eight games as a junior, Gordon recorded 14 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions; Browder had 39 catches for 730 yards and 14 touchdowns.
The final destination of the day was Fort Lauderdale’s American Heritage High School. Jimmy Williams, an offensive lineman signed to the U of L in 2024, hails from this school. Deandre Desinor, a four-star running back, met Brohm. Desinor, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound running back with over 20 offers, is ranked as the 104th best talent in the class and the 9th overall.
Desinor recorded 10 touchdowns and 674 yards on 67 carries as a junior.
