According to Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus, the Bengals could add Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown in free agency.
Charlie Jones is expected to replace Tyler Boyd as the slot wide receiver in Cincinnati, but Brown is another option.
“If the Bengals let Tyler Boyd depart in free agency, they still may have in-house replacements with 2023 rookies Charlie Jones and Andrei Iosivas,” Spielberger stated in an email. “But Brown is a big-bodied inside/outside replacement who did an excellent job this season of getting open for C.J. Stroud on broken plays, making him a nice fit with Joe Burrow, who excels in scramble drills.
Unfortunately, Tampa lost Russell Gauge to another injury before the 2023 season, and even if they keep Mike Evans, having a good No. 4 option behind Evans, Godwin, and youngster Trey Palmer makes sense.”
Brown shredded the Bengals in the 2023 game against Houston, finishing the season with 33 catches for 567 yards and two touchdowns.
He finished 18th in the league in terms of yards per catch, averaging 17.2.
