TRANSFORMATION NEWS: Why Raheem Morris’ Atlanta Falcons Hire will Transform the Team to a Greater Heights

The Atlanta Falcons are gradually finalizing the look of their coaching staff for the 2024 season. It’s difficult for the team’s fans not to be pleased about the hirings he’s been orchestrating, as the team gradually gains trust within the organization.

Casual fans are unlikely to notice the latest Morris hire. However, a little research reveals that the Falcons will be ready for an exciting 2024 season.
Atlanta Falcons recruit Kevin Koger, Tim Berbenich, and others to assist Raheem Morris.

Over the weekend, Alex Lord of SportsTalkATL.com wrote about the signing of Atlanta Falcons assistants to boost the squad in all parts of the game:

Morris hired five assistants to his staff on Saturday: offensive assistants Nick Jones and K.J. Black, defensive assistants Lance Schulters and John Timu, secondary coach Justin Hood, senior offensive assistant Ken Zampese, and pass game specialist/game management Tim Berbenich.

Morris’ ability to fill out an All-Star coaching staff was considered one of his most desirable qualities as a contender. That came to fruition as soon as the Falcons announced Zac Robinson.

The Falcons’ biggest coup among the individuals hired to be assistants on the coaching staff is Kevin Koger’s tight ends coach. The former tight ends coach for the Los Angeles Chargers excels at developing tight ends and will be tasked with transforming Kyle Pitts into one of the NFL’s most lethal threats.
Pitts is a skilled tight end who has failed to regain the form he showed during his spectacular rookie season. He only has 667 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 53 catches in 2023. However, poor quarterback play and injuries prevented him from matching his amazing productivity during his first season.

The Falcons hope that with Koger as coach and a better quarterback under centre, Pitts would improve as a player. If these hires pan out, the Atlanta Falcons’ decision to pass on Bill Belichick will be one of their best moves yet.
